Youth Programs
Detroit Boat Club Crew offers competetive, recreational, and educational programs for kids ages 11-18.
The Junior Racing Rowing is a highly competitive team that trains year-round. Our athletes come from across Southeast Michigan and represent more than ten area schools. The team competes in regional, national, and international level regattas including Youth Nationals, The Head of the Charles, and the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta.
The vast majority of our athletes go on to compete in college and attain significant scholarships on an annual basis.
Friends of Detroit Rowing also offers developmental programs for individuals to explore rowing without committing to a six say a week training schedule. Other options include summer Learn to Row summer camps, intro days, and STEM to Stern classes.
