The Friends of Detroit Rowing Oarsmen’s Ball is back! Join us on Saturday, Feb 07, 2026 at 6:30 PM at The Jam Handy.
Since 1839, the Detroit Boat Club Crew has served as the home for rowing in Detroit. This year we are celebrating the groundbreaking of our 8th Shellhouse & the 187th anniversary of the Oarsmen’s Ball. This fundraiser will support Friends of Detroit Rowing’s (FODR) campaign Share an Oar…Share the Shore that will help increase public access to the Detroit River and the sport of rowing.
Join us at the historic Jam Handy for a black-tie optional event where you can sample hors d’oeuvres, dance the night away, play games, bid on amazing auction items, enjoy the bar, and meet an Olympian or two.
