Masters Competitive and Recreational Rowing
Whether you’re in it for the competition or just want to get out on the water, the Detroit Boat Club Crew has a program for you.
The DBCC Masters Program is made up of experienced rowers wishing to be competitive at local, national, and international regattas. A rower may compete as a Masters rower from the beginning of the year during which he or she turns 27.
The Masters Program is for men and women with rowing experience emphasizing technical improvement and being competitive with other Masters racing programs throughout the US. It is designed for sweep and sculling with all configurations of boats including eights, fours, quads, doubles pairs and singles.
Progression to the Masters program is for those who rowed in High School and/or College and wish to continue (or return to) the sport and take their rowing skills to the next level or who have completed a Learn to Row Program AND then rowed in a Recreational Rowing program for a year or more
Enjoy being on the water and sharing the rowing experience without all the pressure! Our Adult Recreational program is designed for those who know how to row and just want to enjoy the sport for the escape and camaraderie without the commitment. It is ideal for those wanting to return to the sport and is also the next step for those who have completed a Learn to Row Program.
